Attention matters

  Each face in this series represents an act of bravery, risking the chance to ever return to their homes and family. Photographed during protests in London in solidarity with Iran, these portraits show individuals choosing to be visible and standing openly. While such acts may seem ordinary in places of safety, in Iran they can come with serious consequences and put lives at risk. Highlighting that contrast, reminding us that the ability to speak, to be seen, and to stand in support of others is not something to take for granted, but something to use with intention.
